Imperial Sorcerer JinHyun stands in the Prairie village. Talk to him and choose Combine to open the Compound: pick a category, pick a recipe, drop the materials into the grid and press Compound.
The best part: a compound never fails. If you have the materials and the fee, you get the item.
Build your way up to the rare stuff.
| Makes | From | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Black Crystal | 3 × Black Stone | 10,000 Jeon |
| White Crystal | 3 × White Stone | 3,000 Jeon |
| Red Crystal | 3 × Red Stone | 3,000 Jeon |
| Black Jewel | 5 × Black Crystal | 500,000 Jeon |
| White Jewel | 5 × White Crystal | 150,000 Jeon |
| Red Jewel | 5 × Red Crystal | 75,000 Jeon |
So one Black Jewel takes 15 Black Stones and 550,000 Jeon in total. Worth it? Look at the imbue bonus: a Jewel adds +15% success, a Stone only +1% (see Stones & Jewels).
Smelt ores into steel for crafting.
| Makes | From | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Steel | 10 × Iron | 42,000 Jeon |
| Copper Steel | 10 × Copper | 42,000 Jeon |
| Zinc Steel | 10 × Zinc | 42,000 Jeon |
| Tin Steel | 10 × Tin | 42,000 Jeon |
Iron, Copper, Zinc and Tin are crafting ingredients. Not obtainable yet: no monster drops them and JinHyun doesn't sell them (his menu has no Trade option), so the steel recipes are waiting for an ore source. JinHyun's other option, Craft, is where you turn ingredients into dishes and other crafted goods.
Coming later: the other Compound categories (Refine Stone, Skill Book, Imperial Secret Jewel, Combine Resource and Gold Key compounds) are listed in the window but don't work yet, because their materials aren't in the alpha. JinHyun's Craft Mix is coming later too.
